When I was 11 years old, I left Colombia and immigrated to the United States. My mother, a single mom, gave everything she had so I could have a better life. She worked tirelessly, making sacrifices I didn’t fully understand until I was older. Her resilience, courage, and faith laid the foundation for the life I’ve built.
Ever since, I’ve carried a dream: to one day give back to the people of Colombia.
That dream is now becoming a reality.
I’m partnering with Mentors International, an organization with over 35 years of experience empowering families to break the cycle of poverty. They work in 12 countries across the world, teaching entrepreneurs essential business skills, providing mentoring, and supporting micro-enterprise development.
Their mission is not charity, it’s empowerment. They don’t just provide temporary relief; they equip people to create sustainable businesses that transform families for generations.
Why This Matters
Small business owners are the backbone of Colombia’s economy. Yet many of them — talented, hard-working people — struggle with limited resources, lack of training, and little support.
